The Story Behind the Free Geography Journaling Pages

Yes, we have free geography journaling pages for you. And why? Well, there is a background story to explain.

It’s about sharing the world with our kids. After all, wouldn’t we all like to do that? Sometimes you have the opportunity to take your kids on great trips, but for most of us, that just doesn’t happen. There’s the time. The money. The planning.

For me, world travel with (a few of) my kids happened just once. Several years ago, two of my (grown) daughters surprised me with an invitation to go with them to England and France. What a blessing! What an amazing opportunity!

There was just one problem. Actually, two.

First, we were a ministry family. With 5 kids. And I was a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. That means money was never plentiful. Budgets were ALWAYS tight.

Secondly, my husband and I had scheduled a special trip of our own to celebrate 30 years of a happy marriage. So how could I justify another big trip on top of that?

But, this was also the opportunity of a lifetime. Time with two of my daughters, having fun, experiencing so much, and just being on an adventure together.

Despite my reservations, my husband encouraged me to just “GO!” And I’m beyond glad that I did.

It was the trip of a lifetime. I still think about the good memories and browse through the pictures. It was a super special time with my daughters. And, yes, it was an adventure!!

I think for most of us, the chance to travel somewhere, sometime, is on our bucket list. Especially with family.

But travel isn’t always easy. The planning. The expense. It can be out of our comfort zone.

So how can we share the world with our kids? Adventure together? Explore together?
